Hack-A-Damien

Hack-A-Damien is a 24-Hour Game Development Hackathon right here on the @UAlbany campus sponsored by IBM, the UAlbany College of Nanotechnology, Science, and Engineering, and Grimbar Interactive! Sign-up for UAlbany's inaugural student-hosted hackathon, hosted by UAlbany IEEE. We welcome all colleges and universities to join us- Collaborate with others to build games, test your skills, and win!

Registration are closed becuase we are at capacity for 2024.

Spectators can come visit on April 13th and 14th as well! Our Various workshops, social events, and sponsor tabling are available to all, not just Hack-A-Damien participants. Please keep in mine that food will be limited, however, due to our constrained student organization budget.

If you are under the age of 18, please be sure to read our Policy on Minors (in our Rules and Policies tab) and to have a chaperone with you.

There is a prayer room available in ETEC 107. It will be available on both days of the Hack-A-Damien, Saturday and Sunday, from 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM.

Here is a short checklist of things you will need for Hack-A-Damien:

  • A computer to work with, as well as a charging device and other auxilary technology equipment
  • A sleeping bag, or a pillow and blanket (optional)
  • Never hurts to bring toothbrush and toothpaste (optional)
  • The Hack-A-Damien Spirit (not optional)

    • Prizes are non-negotiable. You can give it away or throw it out if you want, but that would really hurt our feelings.
